Vietnam turns away cruise ship

It is being widely reported that a cruise ship carrying 1,100 passengers has cancelled plans to visit Quang Ninh after being told it was not welcome by port authorities.

The AIDAvita made the last-minute change of itinerary after the provincial maritime authority informed the European cruise company its passengers would not be allowed to disembark due to coronavirus concerns. Vietnam has become the latest country to bar some cruise liners that were recently in China.

Meanwhile, Carnival Corp.‘s Westerdam was finally allowed to berth in Cambodia after being turned away by multiple ports.
